Starting with my love for baking and pastry, I found out that this bakery was looking for a part-time baker. I applied, got the job, and after some conversations with the owners, she asked me to help with strategic planning and direction as part of their revamp efforts.
With Claude under new ownership, a revamp and fresh strategic planning became essential. I began by asking questions like...
What is our identity?, How do we want to position ourselves?, What are we trying to sell?, Who is the “new” Claude?, What should we preserve, and what needs to change?
Most importantly, I focused on finding the perfect balance between honoring the old and embracing the new.
The photos are the original owner of Claude Bakery on West 4th Street, which has been a part of the community since 1982.
The concept was inspired by the swirl inside a croissant. I started with a few sketches, experimented with different ideas, and eventually landed on this design.
I created a photoshoot in the back kitchen to be used on a website and social media, the goal is to strike a balance between authenticity and aesthetic appeal.
I also conduct and plan social media content and communication strategies that focus on authenticity and transparency. By emphasizing real, relatable content and showcasing how we source our ingredients, I've been able to build a genuine connection with our audience. This approach has helped grow our follower base, as people appreciate the honest, behind-the-scenes storytelling that highlights our commitment to quality and sustainability.
